Association<\/b><b><u><\/u><u><\/u><\/b><\/h2>\n<p>The Georgian Microfinance Association was established in August 2009 and serves as a professional association representing the microfinance sector in Georgia.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<p>The Association\u2019s members include microfinance organizations, microbanks, and commercial banks, which, based on shared interests, contribute to the development and strengthening of the microfinance sector in Georgia and the advancement of modern industry standards.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Objectives of the Association<\/b><b><u><\/u><u><\/u><\/b><\/h2>\n<p>The Georgian Microfinance Association aims to promote the sustainable, responsible, and inclusive development of the microfinance sector in Georgia, protect the interests of its members, and contribute to greater financial awareness and accessibility.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<p>The Association\u2019s key objectives are:<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><u><\/u><strong>Promoting the development and strengthening of the microfinance sector<\/strong> \u2014 supporting the sector\u2019s sustainable growth, innovation, competitiveness, and the adoption of international best practices;<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/li>\n<li><u><\/u><strong>Promoting financial inclusion<\/strong> \u2014 supporting improved access to financial products and services for individuals, as well as micro and small businesses;<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/li>\n<li><u><\/u><strong>Raising public awareness and financial literacy<\/strong> \u2014 increasing public understanding of microfinance, responsible lending, and financial products and services;<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/li>\n<li><u><\/u><strong>Promoting responsible lending practices<\/strong> \u2014 supporting transparent, responsible, and customer-focused approaches to the provision of financial services;<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/li>\n<li><u><\/u><strong>Fostering a balanced and informed public perception of the microfinance sector<\/strong> \u2014 promoting objective information about the role, importance, and contribution of the sector to the Georgian economy;<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/li>\n<li><u><\/u><strong>Supporting the professional development of sector employees<\/strong> \u2014 facilitating training, educational programs, professional events, and knowledge-sharing initiatives;<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/li>\n<li><u><\/u><strong>Protecting the rights and interests of member organizations<\/strong> \u2014 representing members\u2019 common interests and supporting the protection of their legal, professional, and institutional strengthening partnerships with international organizations, financial institutions, and professional associations, while facilitating the exchange of international experience and best
