On May 27-29, an international conference organized by the Microfinance Centre (MFC) and supported by the National Bank was held in Tbilisi. The topic of the conference was “Changes, Shocks and Solutions: Microfinance in the Shadow of Geopolitics.” The Global Conference of the International Microfinance Centre is held annually in different countries, and the Georgian Microfinance Association has been a partner of this event for many years. This year as well, the Association actively participated in organizing the conference in Tbilisi.
The conference was opened by Natia Turnava, President of the National Bank, and Archil Bakuradze, Chair of the MFC Board and Chair of the Supervisory Board of Crystal.
The conference was attended by more than 470 participants from over 40 countries, and within the framework of the event, 20 sessions were held and more than 50 speakers participated.
